Skydiving from 100,000 feet

This guy (Joseph Kittinger) jumped from a balloon at 102,800 feet. He reached a speed of 614 mph:

The World's Most Loyal Dog

After this dog's owner died, the dog (not knowing) returned to the train station every day at 4pm to meet the owner coming home from work -- for 10 years.

Circuit City destroys guy's new Civic

This guy had a brand new Civic, and paid $3000 to have Circuit City install an in-dash Nav system, stereo, and speakers. Apparently the installer was having a bad day, because he melted the heating ducts, taped the stereo/nav unit into place to hold it, and mangled some of the wiring.

A Honda dealer estimated $12k in repairs. Now the story is on all the major blogs, causing Circuit City untold damage to its reputation.
